July 1st Celebration
Before we left for vacation, we celebrated July 4th a few days early with some of our friends. Michael and Rachel Bruce were nice enough to invite some people over to their home to enjoy their great view of the fireworks their neighborhood displays every year. They are really spectacular and this year was especially exciting since it was Davids first glimpse at the fireworks. We had a great time and David was so tired, he crashed as soon as we got in the car!
David spent the early part of the evening chasing the older kids around the back yard. Rachel had lots of toys out and David pretty much entertained himself by throwing the ball over and over.
This is Avery and Ellie's reaction to the fireworks! How cute is this??? They have such a look of wonder on their sweet faces. We really thought Avery would be scared again, but she didn't need to ride on Trey's sholders this time. She was probably smart enough to realize that he would only make her closer to the sky!
David's first look at fireworks. We were not sure how he would react to the noise, but he really seemed to like them until he saw the large crowd of scared toddlers inside the house, he was dying to see what was going on in there. He doesn't like to miss a thing!

So cute! Nate squeezed his eyes tight every time the fireworks would go off. We were laughing so hard at him. It was the cutest ever! Did you get home safely or are you still gone?
