David's First Trip to S.C.

David had a very busy Thanksgiving week! It all started with his first airplane ride from Fort Worth to South Carolina. He did very well on the plane and actually seemed to enjoy it! All the surrounding passangers were pleasantly surprised that he didn't make a sound. We traveled to Clearwater, Bishopville, and Myrtle Beach in the 6 days we were there. David met most of his family members for the first time. He loved every minute of it! He smiled and took lots of "lap naps" with his wonderful family. Poppa Dock, Mimi, Daddy T, and Dee Dee were great hosts for their newest addition to the family. They had everything we needed for him when we got there and believe me, I never knew infants required so much stuff until we hit the road! David also visited the ocean for the first time while we were in S.C. We were fortunate to have great weather and it was even warm enough for him to put his feet in the sand (not the water). He responded with lots of bubble blowing which is his most recent trick. For all the family members who keep up with us through our blog, it was wonderful to see everyone and we can't wait to see you again in a few weeks!

David and Trey after many pictures had been taken! I think he is really starting to become a daddy's boy!

I seriously can not get enough hugs.

David and his cousins Bridges and Bayler in their matching U.S.C. outfits. Needless to say this "photo shoot" was interesting!

David and his cousin Dylan. Dylan held David quite a bit in the short time we had to visit!

David's sweet cousin Claudia Jane. We didn't get to visit with her much, she slept peacefully the whole afternoon!

More cousins and they're all boys!!! This is Tripp, Bayler, Walker, Bridges and David. Believe it or not we do have one girl, but of course Emily Grace didn't want to be caught sitting with all the boys!

David with his great grandfather James Edward Whittle.

David with his great grandfather Hershel Martin.

I had to put this in for all our friends to see what having a baby will do to ya! This is the way David traveled around the airports... what a great daddy!

We've been very busy...

David is almost 3 months old now. At his last doctor's appointment he weighed 12.2 pounds and was 23 inches long. He is growing so fast we can hardly keep up! He is such a sweet little boy. I seriously keep thinking I will wake up one day and his personality will be different, but for now we have a very laid back baby. He loves to sleep in his seat when we are out. Most of the time we forget he is with us at restaurants because he is so content! He smiles all the time and as all moms out there know, nothing is more precious. He also loves to "talk". My entertainment in the car is no longer the radio. I turn it off to hear David having a very long conversation with his "friends" (two little bugs that hang from his seat)! It is too cute. We have been very busy with "life" but promise to keep up the blog now. I am aiming for weekly posts since I finally have my own log-in, so keep checking us out! Here are some snapshots from David's first 21/2 months of life...

David's sweet smile. It melts my heart every time!

David's first Halloween! We didn't go trick or treating but this little cowboy did make it to Keystone's Fall Festival.

I just know he is thinking "what are you doing to me mom?!?"

David had a pet horse to ride with him in his stroller at Keystone's Fall Festival. Even a horse wasn't enough to make him smile in this picture though! What a tired baby!!!

David loves bath time!

David's first University of South Carolina game. He is only a few weeks old in this picture but is was such an important day I had to share!!!

David after the Tennesse game. "You mean we won?!?" Go Cocks!

David doesn't like to play on his tummy very much. I think he can see more on his back and he doesn't like to miss a thing when he is awake!

David's favorite toy. He "talks" to the animals all the time!
