Admiration

One of my favorite parts of our day is when Trey comes home from work. David and I are usually home about 30 minutes before Trey and the other day I finally had the camera ready. I can not explain the look on his face and the twinkle in his eye when Trey walks through the door. I tried to capture it with pictures, but it still does not do justice. He looks like he thinks Trey could walk on water. I think he truly admires his wonderful daddy already!

This is the "baby boy" waiting for daddy. He really likes to play in the crib while I'm getting ready for the next day.

When Trey walks in, David can hardly stand it. His whole face lights up! (Oh, and so does his daddy's)!

Trey usually scoops him up and starts "eating" him up with kisses. This, of course, makes David perform the wonderful gut laugh that all parents love to hear.

The grin usually stays for some time while they play.

I love the relationship they have already! We are truly blessed!

Catching up...

Moving has kept us busy lately so we have a ton to share! David turned 6 months on the 11th, yeah! He now weighs 16.2 lbs (10%) and is 261/2 inches (50%). Dr. Magie told us to try giving him more "solid" food now that he is older and we seriously can not feed him fast enough. Overnight David turned into a little pig! He loves sweet potatoes, carrots, applesauce, and pears. It is fun to see him devour the food and he "talks" the whole time. David is also rolling over more. I knew he could do it, but he would really rather just stand in your lap or his exersaucer. However, he has figured out if he rolls over enough one way he can get somewhere. Needless to say, the small mat he used to play on isn't big enough any more. He is growing so quickly!
David has also been keeping quite the social calendar. He went to his first Valentine's Day party, his first birthday party, he has a new sitter, and he helped us say goodbye to our sweet friends Holly and Ben Peterson. Between everyday life and all the fun happenings, we are happy to report that David is such a joy. He still smiles most of the day and loves life. We are thankful for such a sweet little baby boy...

David with our friends Holly and Ben Peterson. We miss you guys!

David loves to stroll, but I'm not sure he likes the sunglasses!

The weather in Texas is so crazy! On Thursday, we were in shorts and taking a stroll (it was 80 degrees)...

and on Saturday we had ice and freezing rain!

David is teething and chews on EVERYTHING! If he doesn't have his pacifier he'll just chew his lip or his tongue.

He can now put the paci in his mouth all by himself!

David is staring at a B.E. video. He still loves t.v.

Our little couch potato!

These pictures are in reverse order, but they sort of show David rolling over...

most of the way over...

and just starting off!

David with his friends Ellie Thomas and Avery Hernandez. We went to Avery's party at Build a Bear! It was lots of fun!

David getting his first "friend" kiss from cutie little Carter Blair!

David and his friend Clayton on his last day with Angie. Angie and her husband Mark are adopting 2 children from Russia this spring and we are super excited for them! David is now staying with another sweet friend of mine, Lisa Cowen, and her family. He absolutely loves going to "play" at their house. I will post more pictures soon!

Our New House

Our new house in Keller, TX!

Moving!!!

For those of you who don't know, we are in the process of moving right now so my posts have been limited. Moving is certainly a full time job and if we thought we had a lot of stuff before David, we could never have dreamed what we uncovered this week. Thankfully we are some-what in our new house but the boxes are still standing tall. We are remaining in the Dallas/Fort Worth area but wanted to move closer to our church plant, Keystone Church. Trey finishes seminary in May and we feel God has called us to stay here a little while longer. The area we are reaching is Keller, TX and the amount of young families in the area is amazing. If you get a chance, check out the website www.keystonechurch.com. Please pray for us as we start to find other locations to hold our 2 services on Sunday mornings and for the many families that visit us weekly. We are greatful for all God is doing in our lives and through his church body at Keystone. Now back to moving... hopefully I can post some new pictures soon, if I can find my camera in the millions of boxes!!!
