Happy "Kalloween" 2007!

We hope you all had a wondeful and safe Kalloween! We are not sure why, but David has decided to say Halloween with a "k" even though he can say his h's. Who knows?!?

We joined the Jones family and some more friends to eat pizza and go trick or treating in their neighborhood. David was not really sure what to think about all the super hero costumes at first. He wouldn't even get in the picture and you can see his buddy Griffin hiding his face on the floor :)!

He did give us one good smile before we left to go "trick or treating".

And this is what David thought about the whole ordeal at first... he was not too happy. However, after watching the big kids go a couple of times, he started to get the hang of it.

And by the end of the night, he was a pro! He would run behind all the big boys as fast as he could and then say "trick or treat" really loud! His candy bucket was really full (yeah!) and he could hardly carry it on the way home. Here is Griffin, his dad Bill, David, and Trey at the end of the night. What a great time!!!

A Name

After much deliberation, we finally have a name for the sweet little guy growing inside me...

Jonathan Dock Kelly

We chose Jonathan because Trey and I both pray that our boys will have an extremely close relationship, much like David and Jonathan in the Bible. 1 Samuel 18 tells how they were closer than brothers and had a deep love/respect for one another. We chose Dock because it is a special family name. It feels good to have this under our belt and now we are just counting down the days until we finally meet him. We are so excited and can't wait to love on Jonathan! David kisses his "baby bruder" all the time, but follows the kiss with "o.k. night, night Jonathan, go to sleep!" and then pulls down my shirt. Maybe he'll get his wish and Jonathan will be a great sleeper :)!

Family Day

Now that Keystone has added a Saturday night service (which is VERY FUN, by the way) Trey gets some time off on Fridays. Yeah, yeah, yeah!!! This past Friday we spent the entire day together and really enjoyed the beautiful weather. We had a wonderful time taking Trey to the pumpkin patch and showing him David's favorite spots. We even added a few to the list...

It was much more crowded than when we visited on Wednesday so we headed away from the crowd to the lake. David LOVED feeding the ducks sitting by the bank.

He copied everything Trey did and was thrilled to learn that ducks like "teddy bears" (Teddy Grahams) just like him.

David had even more fun running up and down the small hill that lead to the lake!

The best part was listening to him laugh all the way down the "big hill"!

Of course we had to visit the big hay mound to show daddy that he could climb up all by himself.

I was much more relaxed knowing Trey was safely watching him run around the top this time.

David even jumped off the top into his daddy's arms when it was time to go! We topped off the day by staying home for dinner, ordering pizza, and letting David stay up until he almost passed out on the couch :)! What a wonderful day!

Pumpkin Patch 2007

O.K., so I know I have a TON to catch up on and I truly plan to do some back posting in the next few days. The computer chair is not the most comfortable when you are almost 9 months pregnant and spent the day chasing a very active 2 year old. But, I couldn't resist posting about our super FUN day. My sweet friend Amanda arranged a day at the pumpkin patch in Flower Mound and we had a blast!
David got to wear his Halloween costume and he was SO excited! Can you guess why??? He LOVES being a baseball player!

He ran and ran through the pumpkins! Thank you Mimi for putting together David's costume. He was "sliding" between pumpkins and yelling "SAFE", even though there was not a bat, ball, or glove in sight!

David and his pal Will took a break from running and moving pumpkins around the field.

One of David's favorites from the day was climbing to the top of the hay mound. I was a wreck because I don't move that quickly these days and he was jumping up and down with Bailey yelling "I so high!!!". I'm not sure I could have caught him if he'd fallen, but thankfully all were safe.

David and Bailey take a ride in the wagon!

My sweet little guy! Oh, I love him SO MUCH!

Another one of David's favorites was driving the "tractor".

David and some of his best buds! Thomas, David, Will, and Bailey are kinda crazy together, but have so much fun!

You have no idea how hard this picture was to capture! Here is our whole group. We love our friends!

By the end of the day, I had to climb on top of the hay mound AGAIN to get David down, so we took a quick picture. By the way, I went to the doctor this morning and I am measuring 35 weeks... not much longer!!!

We're still here...

Don't give up on us yet, we have been super busy! I have lots to post about... a surprise visit from Papa Dock, travel to SC one last time before baby, lots of family pictures, and a home Carolina game. Not to mention this is my "finish the list" week before the baby comes. I'm over 32 weeks now and we are busy getting the boys rooms put together. I'll post pictures and more when I recover from travel, insomnia, and a toddler with a sinus infection/fluid behind the ears!
