Busy Saturday...

David had a very busy day! He spent the morning with his daddy since I had a meeting for our kids ministry at Keystone. They made their usual "guy trip" to Cabela's. After a yummy lunch and nap, he went to a birthday party for his friend, Faith. Then, to top off a great day, Holland and her family came over to watch the Tennessee vs. South Carolina game. Her daddy is a Tennessee fan so it made for a fun night of friendly sports talk between the guys. David was so tired when I told him it was time to go "night, night", he closed his eyes and put his head on my sholder. I hope this means the time change won't bother him too much! Happy "fall back" everyone!!!

David and Faith had a great time picking up acorns at the park. Neither one would look at the camera!

Meet David's first "school friend", Faith! She is the sweetest little girl and all the teachers at our school joke about them getting married one day, ha ha!

Here is David and his friend Holland enjoying milk after our pizza dinner.

Holland and David shared several kisses tonight and they thought it was very funny!

Just so cute...

This picture was just so precious, I couldn't resist putting it on the blog. My friend Holly took this picture Saturday night while we were eating dinner at our friend's Jake and Anne's house. I love that Kailey is pulling her brother's ears already! Baby Daniel better watch out!!! (pictured: Kailey, Daniel, David, and Avery)

Doctor David at the Pumpkin Patch

David and I joined some friends at the pumpkin patch this morning. It was so much fun! He didn't quite get the concept of the pumpkins though... he chose a really small one and kept saying "ball" and then he would throw it. It was really cute!

We would like to thank both Mimi and Dee Dee for helping with his costume... "Doctor David" has all the instruments, a surgical hat, shoe covers, and a real mask to go with his cute little outfit. However, David is teething right now and I only managed to get the outfit on this morning... he can really throw a fit!

We are definitely going to ask Santa for a wagon this Christmas. David LOVED riding around the field. He laughed and laughed, especially when I would go over a bump. He is at such a fun age!

Here is David RUNNING around the patch!

I've always said David is "all boy". He loves balls, dirt, and lately he seems to really be into trucks (or anything that has big wheels). He can roll his r's and he does so for everything with wheels (including patrons in restaurants that are in wheelchairs...). Needless to say, he loved "driving" the big red tractor today!

I couldn't get David or his friend Carter to look at the camera, but Carter wanted to share the wheel with David... she is the cutest and sweetest tiger I've ever seen!

They had this really neat little house made out of hay... David, Carter (the tiger), and Korbyn (the duck) all had fun chasing each other in and out of the hay stacks!

This is the only group shot we could get... David wouldn't sit down and poor little Jace (the duck's baby brother) was so sad. You can also see sweet Jackson (the scarecrow) in this shot. Ella (aka "'Dora") didn't want to pose either... what can you do???

I don't get to be in many pictures since I'm usually the one behind the camera, but my sweet friend Kelli took a quick shot of me and my little doctor. Can you tell he was wiggling free after less than two seconds in my lap?

This is what happens after you run around a pumpkin patch for over an hour and then have a yummy lunch... I think this doctor is done!

Our Trip to South Carolina!

David and I traveled home to S.C. this past weekend to visit family. It was a very quick trip, but we had a wonderful time. On Friday we went to the State Fair with (above) DeeDee, Daddy T, Aunt B, Bayler, and Bridges. It was so much fun!

Although Uncle Rob and Aunt Risha didn't make it to the fair, we enjoyed seeing them as much as possible during the trip.

Bridges and David had a great time riding around together in the double stroller. At one point we looked over and David had placed his hand on Bridges leg and just smiled at him. I think he really enjoyed playing with his cousins! In this picture they are looking at the large ducks... of course David said "quack, quack" over and over. He loved the animals!

David also loved watching Bayler ride the fun rides. And we all enjoyed the food! My family LOVEs fair food so we timed it perfectly for a special lunch feast... vinegar fries, fried mushrooms, corn dogs, polish sausage, and FOUR elephant ears. Wow!

We saved the best ride for last. The boys had a good time and I think all three were asleep before we left the parking lot!

Sadly, my camera battery was low, so I didn't get as many pictures as I had hoped (I left out the ones of 3 very cute little boys in the bath tub together!)... I do believe this picture says it all. David had so much fun, he crashed on the plane ride home.

Thanks for flying us home Dee Dee and Daddy T!

Mimi and Aunt Courtney Visit!

Last week, David's Mimi and Aunt Courtney came for a visit. We had a wonderful time eating, shopping, and cleaning out the mess in our garage... we even managed to visit the Fort Worth Stockyards for a morning. Thanks for coming to Texas Mimi and Aunt Courtney!

Although we've been in Texas for over 3 years, none of us own any western wear... until now! Mimi bought David a pair of cowboy boots. He looks really cute in them.

We moved in our house in February and the garage was the catch all for stuff that didn't have a place in the house. Well, the pile grew and grew with all of my teaching boxes (see a small example above) and misc. "things". We spent 2 days cleaning and rearranging furniture. I wish I would have taken a before picture so you could see the progress. Now both Trey and I can park in the garage. Thanks so much for the help Mimi and Courntey!

David was our "helper". He LOVES to sweep with the broom!

We miss you guys already! Thanks for coming to visit!

Papa Dock's Visit!

David's Papa Dock stopped in Texas for a few days on his way back from Las Vegas. David had a great time visiting and playing with his Papa! This is one of my favorite pictures from the weekend... David was so content to snuggle with Papa Dock before bedtime.

Now that David is walking everywhere, they had a great time playing together. Of course David's favorite is still throwing the ball... and his Papa even showed him how to kick it too. It looks like David is starting soccer early!

Here are the Kelly boys before the South Carolina vs. Auburn game! Papa helped us make some great tailgating food and we enjoyed the fellow Gamecock company, even if we couldn't pull off a victory. Trey and his dad also taught David a new trick. When you say "touchdown", David now puts both hands in the air and then claps. He thinks it is so much fun! We had a wonderful time visiting. Thanks for a great weekend Papa Dock... we miss you already!

Bubbles, bubbles everywhere!

David loves bubbles! He just laughs and laughs, especially now that he can RUN around to pop them. And just a fun tip... Gymboree has great bubbles that don't make your floor sticky and last a long time!

David was way to busy to look at the camera. I'm finding that a common problem these days... I can't seem to get him to stay still long enough to take a good picture!

Thankfully, now all David does is walk. If he falls down he gets up right away and takes off again. He is growing so fast!
