In love...

with Avery! Oh, David is so in love with Avery. He talks about her all the time. It think it has something to do with the fact that she is an "older woman" at 5 1/2 years old.

We had a playdate at the mall yesterday and David followed Avery everywhere. They held hands as we walked through the mall and ate lunch together in the food court. Lucky for me, Avery's mom is one of my very best friends so hanging out is lots of fun!

And here is what Jon did while we played, shopped, and ate! He sat in his carrier most of the morning. Well, he did nurse like a champ (5-8 minutes, TOPS) midway through the morning. The rest of the time he just snoozed!

Too Quiet

Yep, this is what David was doing while I was nursing Jon yesterday. I knew it was too quiet...
He was very proud of his body art! At least he didn't get it anywhere else and none of the markers were permanent. He seemed to really like the yellow highlighter... what a booger!

Refreshed?!

You'd think that I would feel much better as far as sleep deprivation is concerned this week... Trey did an excellent job with the
boys Monday night. I was able to grab dinner (for all the locals, Johnny B's has great burgers!) and catch a movie. It was heaven! While I was out relaxing, Trey managed a trip to Chick-fil-A with both boys, movie night with popcorn for David and a bottle with Jonathan. David and Jonathan were asleep when I got home. What a stud :)! Then, last night I bathed and fed Jonathan at 10:30 pm and he slept until 5:00 am. WAHOO! So, I'm trying to figure out why I'm still tired?!? I think I might be coming down with a cold or something. Oh well, we are staying in tonight so I will try to remember to take a few pictures of the boys for all our families that check regularly for that reason. Happy Friday everyone!

How Do You Know Someone REALLY Loves You?

My sweet husband took one look at me tonight when he came home from work and told me to make plans immediately for a night out. So, I'm off for a KID FREE night out! Now that's what I call true love :)!

Conversation

I just had to type this up so I would remember...

Trey was at the Cowboy's game tonight (sad, sad loss) so David and I were having another "date night". We were sitting at the table eating when he looked over at me and said "So, how was your day?" He was completely serious... at least until I started laughing! What a cutie pie!!!

"How big is he???" and Movie Night

Well, we don't know how big Jon is right now. He doesn't return to the doctor until February 1st for his 2 month check up... but, the outfit he has on in the above picture fit David at 3 months. Jon will be 7 weeks tomorrow! He is such a big boy! He LOVES to eat and is still waking up every 3 hours at night (somethimes he goes 4). However, I will say that if he doesn't have a dirty diaper I typically feed him and lay him back down in the crib immediately. He goes right back to sleep (most of the time). We love him so much!

This is the closest picture I have of his smile. He is starting to smile at us a lot and already tries to "talk". What a sweetie!

Trey had to work Friday night so David and I had movie night at home! We popped popcorn (his favorite treat now) and watched the "real" Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. It was so much fun... I hadn't seen the movie in years and David really enjoyed it. He is so grown up now!

Nothing better...

than these two little guys! I am so in love with "my boys" and am thankful for all the blessings God gives us each day. Yes, we are tired and up to our ears in chores and laundry but it is all worth it! Eventually we will get a handle on this parenting deal and I'll update more specifics. For now, I leave you with this picture... David truly loves his baby brother and we are so happy!

No time to type...

but I promised DeeDee & Daddy T new pics of Jon! He is growing so fast. He looks more like a 3 month old than a 5 week old!

I'll update more later, we need sleep :)! Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year!
