Trey's Teaching

With the birth of sweet little Beck, Trey had the opportunity to teach this past Sunday at Keystone. It was a very difficult subject (lust) and I feel that God really spoke through Trey. If you would like to listen, you can download the sermon from the website, www.keystonechurch.com. Happy listening!

Who needs toys...

... when you have a big, silver trash can! I promise David has TONS of toys, however after dinner tonight he didn't want to play with any of them.

He was totally captivated by the trash can. It has been sitting in our kitchen for months, but now he can walk over to it by himself and he discovered he is tall enough to open the top and look inside! He is such a little stinker (no pun intended!).

Watch out... David is finally walking!!!

I think it is so fun to watch little kids LITERALLY grow before your eyes... David seems to learn something new everyday! He recently cut 4 more teeth (2 more on bottom and his 1 year molers, OUCH!), he can now say "no" , "hey", and "night, night", and he can blow kisses. But the biggest development is walking! He can go across the room now and he LOVES his new freedom. He even practices in his crib walking from one end to the other (I watch him on the monitor). And of course he now throws a fit when we are out and I won't put him down. I guess we are offically parents of a toddler!!!

"HEY! I have something fun to show you!"

"Look at me..."

"...this is so much fun!"

"Hey that floor is different."

"Oops!"

Our next goal is to say "bye, bye" to the paci, but I'm guessing that might take a while. I think we are all attached!!!

Loss

I am very sad to post that we "lost" the baby. It seems strange to type the term "lost" seeing that we know exactly where the baby is now. It has been a rough few days, but God has given us a tremendous peace about the situation. We are so thankful for our precious little boy and God keeps reminding us that He is faithful and has a wonderful plan for our family. Physically, I am truly doing fine... I went to the doctor Monday morning and he scheduled a D & C for that afternoon. I spent today recovering and he said I would be fine to return to work on Thursday. He reassured both Trey and I that there was no apparent reason for the miscarriage. David is a true source of joy and laughter for us. He is also a constant reminder that God is so good to us and even the hard times are a part of His plan for us as His children. I keep remembering this verse throughout the day...
"For I know the plans I have for you" declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you, not to harm you. Plans for a hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

Football Season is Here!!!

It's our favorite time of year... FOOTBALL SEASON! We absolutely love watching football around our house and most Saturdays are spent in front of the t.v. with a good tailgating dip waiting for the Gamecocks to play. David was so tiny last football season that I didn't get to enjoy watching the games as much (well, as much as you can enjoy watching them on t.v.) This year, he has been dressing the part but thankfully been in bed before the game begins. Maybe soon he will be able to go to a game with us!

David also recently got a hair cut. While he needed it to be trimmed, I didn't like how short she cut the front. In "her" defense, I think David moved while she was trimming his bangs. The first picture is last week, pre-hair cut. This picture is post hair cut. Regardless, I love his little gamecock outfit. We hope they pull off a win against Georgia tonight... GO GAMECOCKS!!!

No Computer!

We had a little problem with our computer the last 2 weeks and are just getting it back from the Apple store... so I have a few posts coming soon. Now the only problem is finding time between morning sickness (read ALL DAY sickness), exhaustion, and a 12 month old!!!
