Just for fun...

I've been taking lots of pictures lately, I just haven't had the chance to post them. So here are a few...

David gets so messy at dinner, you'll notice in most of these shots he is sporting just the diaper... his favorite way to hang out around the house!

Hating his bib is a new development. I hope he outgrows this one quickly.

David can army crawl like a champ now and is starting to get a few "steps" with his tummy off the floor. This is part of the reason I haven't posted lately. I can't go far without having him right under my feet. It is a different world now that he is truly mobile.

He loves his new found independence!

"Watch me mom!"

Sadly, Trey and I find ourselves putting things just out of David's reach to see if he'll go after it on all 4's!

David's First Easter

Happy Easter to all our friends and family! This morning in church I was reminded of how thankful I am God sent his Son to save us. He send His Son so we could have life and have it more abundantly. At Keystone our goal is to love God, love others, and love life! To me this time of year is a constant reminder of how good God is and how much He loves us. I am thankful for my wonderful life and the joy that we have everyday. I pray this Easter all my "blog friends" find their life as fulfilled and joyful as we do...

This morning right before we left for church I caught a few pictures. David was already tired (Sundays are long days for him), so I knew I wouldn't get the best shots. Friday afternoon he had his pictures made with live bunnies so I'll post them as soon as I get them. And we actually managed to get a family photo thanks to Keystone! The church had professional photographers there this morning taking pictures. We had all been working hard by the time we were able to get a turn, but hopefully it will turn out well.

"I'm almost out of smiles mom...

"but, I will show off my teeth again!"

Since David's Easter outfil was linen, I didn't want to put it on until we were ready to walk out the door. So, he had his morning bottle in his bathrobe and socks!

Of course the grass was his favorite thing about his Easter basket!

Digging in!!!

"You mean you expect me to wear this thing in public???"

We gave David his "big" present on Friday so he could have the weekend to play. At the suggestion of his cousin Claudia, the Easter Bunny brought David a LeapFrog Learning Table and he LOVES it!

Our baby boy is getting so big!!!

Dinner Date

Trey and I have been married 3 years today, which is so hard to believe! Actually most of the time it feels like it has been longer since I don't really remember what life was like before him. I am so thankful for my wonderful husband!!! Unfortunately he had to work late so I had a dinner date with David (we are celebrating Friday night with a sushi dinner in Dallas)...

Evidence of the spitting! David has recently started spitting his food everywhere while he eats. I'm trying to teach him how to say "all done" in sign language so I'll know when he has had enough. I actually think he is just talking and playing when he spits it out. He sometimes even does it with the first bite! MESSY!!!

This isn't the best picture of my child, but it does show off those 2 front teeth!!!

I also gave David a "Biter Biscuit" for the first time tonight. He didn't seem to like the taste very much. It could have something to do with Trey giving him a BBQ frito right before I let him try the biscuit!

"Yummy mom! Do you think I'm wearing more than I ate???"

"Somebody get me outta here..."

David has figured out that if he pulls down the bumper on his crib he can see out into the hallway. So, now when he wakes up from a nap we hear him calling out to us through the bars of his crib. It is so funny to walk in his room and see him waiting anxiously with a smile for us to come "rescue" him!

We are going to lower his crib now too. I'm afraid that since he is learning to pull up I will hear a "thud" one morning...

Crawling progress... he can almost really move forward!!!

He tries so hard and talks to himself the whole time...

"Hey, I almost got it mom!!!"

Standing Tall

David is growing by the minute! Here are some of his latest "tricks"...

Taking Trey's hat off his head and throwing it around. He also smiles for the camera (I think he likes the red light that flashes before I take the picture).

David will not pull up by himself yet, but he really wants to stand at all times now.

Falling doesn't seem to bother him...

he just wants to try again and again!

Tonight (Friday) we went to our friends Jake and Anne's to watch the Mavs game. David played with Kailey (5) and Avery (4). They are expecting a baby brother in August! We can't wait to meet him!!!

Check Up...

David had an appointment with Dr. Magie yesterday. He likes to re-check ear infections to make sure they are all cleared up and don't cause hearing loss. So, this trip to the doctor was much more peaceful since David has been feeling great. He was quite the charmer, flirting with all the nurses. He even warmed up to Dr. Magie (after careful study) and was able to wear his stethescope after reaching for it a dozen times (I wish I had my camera at the time)! Dr. Magie always takes his time with David and enjoys interacting with him. David received a clean bill of health and now weighs 17 pounds 8 ounces.
We have been super busy with Keystone and our campaign to get a building (YEAH), so I haven't had the chance to take many pictures lately. Here is a little bit about our weekend...

Friday night we hung out with our friends Brandon and Susan Thomas. Well, Susan and I hung out with the kids while Trey and Brandon did some work for Keystone. David loves to see his friends Ellie (5) and Ava (2).

They give him lots of hugs! They were especially excited this time because they are getting ready to have a new brother or sister in the fall. Ellie even helped me give David his bottle before they all went to bed.

David spent some time with his daddy on Saturday. Trey has been working so much lately! David wanted to have a turn on the Play Station too...

"Why not, Daddy???"
