Crazy

So, today as I was DRAGGING my 2 year old away from school to get in the car he says to me...

"Mom, you're taking me CRAZY!"

Ummm, I think he meant making me crazy. Of course I had to hide the smile because it was most disrespectful and he learned a good lesson on being respectful to his mama and other adults. We've had several of these new "sayings" lately and I didn't want to forget this one... gotta love the new verbal skills :)!

Just for fun

These are some recent pictures I took of Jon-Jon! He is such a chunk!

I tried to find a good picture of David in this outfit, since it was his to begin with... I LOVE that they share the same clothes. Only problem, David was sitting up when he wore this 6 MONTH outfit! Jon is huge and healthy!

Catching up

We have been really busy since the beginning of February... with lots of fun visitors! Mimi and Boo-Boo came out to see us for a few days. We had a great time!

This was Boo-Boo's (Trey's aunt) first visit to TX! David absolutely LOVES playing with Boo-Boo. She actually succeeded in making him tired :)! Thanks again for flying to see us.

Some how I didn't manage to take a recent picture of Mimi with her boys, but I thought I'd put this one up. This is one of my favorite pictures of her with Jon right after we came home from the hospital. We love Mimi!

The next week, while Trey and his dad were skiing, my best friend from S.C. came to visit. Jenn helped me out while Trey was gone and in the process, I think David found a new crush! It helped that she did whatever he wanted the entire time she was here!

We did a lot of nothing except eat and watch movies... she fit right in at our house! Thanks so much Jenn, we miss you!

And our last guest was Papa Dock... he stayed a few days after Trey and he were done with their trip. We always love it when Papa comes to visit! We miss you!

Sick List

Here is a list of what is going around our household right now:

Trey- flu like symptoms, not yet diagnosed by a doctor.

Me- Mastitis (last week) and a non-stop headache, probably from sleep deprivation.

David- THE FLU! We went to the doctor yesterday b/c he has been running a fever since Saturday. Poor baby!

Jon- Horrible cough/congestion that thankfully has not yet turned into anything serious.

Needless to say, the Kelly house is ready for SPRING! We are hopefully on the mend and I have a ton of things to catch up on!

*And yes, I do have the best husband ever! Thank you for your well wishes on my 30th birthday everyone!

The Big 3-0

Yes, that's right. My beautiful wife turns 30 today.

For some reason, she thinks that is old. I think she is prettier today than she has ever been. Although she is pretty hot in this picture of us when we were dating, don't you think?

If you don't mind, give her a call or shoot her an email and tell her happy birthday. She is home today taking care of David (he has a fever.) Not the best way to spend your birthday.

I love you Dani. Happy Birthday!

For Trey...

WE MISS YOU! David has been singing "Daddy's song" all weekend... Jennifer LOVES the performance :)!

Thank you so much for the beautiful tulips!!! I love them and can't wait for our special night out Thursday!

David keeps trying to smell the flowers, which causes him to make the funniest face. I didn't capture it in the picture, but you know what his cute little face looks like when he scruntches up his nose and tries to "smell" really hard... too funny!

Jon says hello too... he mostly just sleeps and eats, but I know he misses you. Hope you are having fun! We love you the most!!!

*For outside readers, Trey is skiing with his Dad in Utah this weekend and we miss him like crazy!!! Can't wait for Daddy to come home!

The many faces of Jonathan...

As I mentioned below, my friend Amanda took some great pictures of Jonathan the other day! I won't type much... but for our friends and family who have yet to meet sweet Jon, I hope you enjoy!

Playdate!

My sweet friend Amanda had us over for a playdate Friday morning. We were only 45 minutes late, sigh... I really hate being late to things, but somedays I just can't seem to get all 3 of us out the door on time. Especially since we have been working on potty training (more on the progress later)! Here are all the fun friends we got to hang out with at Bailey's house (notice there are only 3 girls in the group, ha)!

David really enjoyed Ms. Amanda's cookies. I think he ate 4 or 5!

He was also into hugging the little girls at the party! He kept wanted to hold little Kendall... I think he liked her big brown eyes!

Thank you Amanda and Bailey! We had a great time... and if you want to see what Jon did at the party, I'll post those pictures soon. Amanda took some great shots of him and I want to look through them first :)!

For Dee Dee and B

O.K., unless you are my mom or sister, you probably don't care about this picture. But, I promised them I would post a picture of my new hair cut (excuse the tired eyes and no make up, it happens often these days...). I guess it's because I am turning the big 3-0 this month, but I got brave and cut it. I think I like it, it certainly seems a little easier for now. I just don't want to look to "mom-ish"! And more importantly, isn't this guy the cutest?!? My friend Amanda took some great pictures of the kids yesterday... I'll try to post them tonight! Hope you two ladies like the new cut :)!

Jon at 2 months

O.K. this is not the best picture of Jonathan, but it's the most recent I have on file. We went for his 2 month check-up today and here are his stats:

Height: 25 inches, 97% (the nurse measured twice because he had grown almost 4 inches in 6 weeks, she thought she'd made a mistake!)

Weight: 14 pounds even, 95%

Head: 41 cm, 75%

So, all seems to be healthy with the big guy! He is really interacting with us a lot now and it is so much fun to hear him "talk". He actually slept through the night Wednesday (11pm to 6am), but then last night he woke up twice! I am working hard to fit in an extra feeding during the day and get on a schedule to help our day to day life function more regularly. He is not quite as easy going as David was as an infant (David LOVED to sleep). But he is by no means a "difficult" baby. He just really likes to eat! I hope to post some more pictures of both boys soon... we had a very exciting week! And maybe in honor of turning 9 weeks old, I can finally find time to post about Jon's birth day, HA!
