Spring Break 2007
I thought this picture summed up our week... it was so much fun!
We started the week with Mimi visiting. And our first stop was The Wiggles playhouse in Frisco. Needless to say, David was in heaven! He started pointing to the sign saying "wiggles" as soon as we drove up. He was amazed at the murals painted on the walls in the party rooms and he really spent the first 1/2 hour running around saying wiggles and pointing.
Well, of course he danced and danced and danced! I don't think he stopped moving the entire time we were there.
I had to help him up most of the equipment (which I sadly enjoy a great deal) and go down the slides with him. He seemed pretty excited about this one at the top...
but as we began to slide, he looked a little nervous. We were both giggling at the bottom!
Mimi sat with David while he watched the older kids play The Wiggles game on V-Smile. Maybe he'll be old enough soon. If you live in the DFW area and are looking for a great "simple" day out (minus the longer drive), I would recommend the playhouse. It was so much fun!
While Mimi was here, we also did some gardening and David learned to water the flowers (or his shoes, ha). We went shopping, saw a few movies and ate some great food. Thanks for coming to see us Mimi!
On Friday, Dee Dee and Daddy T made their trip out to Texas. We were glad to see them and had a full weekend planned...
We spent Saturday at the Fort Worth Zoo. It was a little crowded, but we had a great time anyway. David enjoyed looking at the gorillas and other animals up close. I thought it was quite funny that he would get mad when we wouldn't let him in the exhibit with the animals. He was ready to run with the rhinos and swim with the crocs!
After walking most of the way through the zoo, we decided to take a train ride back to the entrance. David loved it!
And here is what you look like after a long morning at the zoo!
Sunday morning after church, we left Trey at Keystone and headed over to Dallas. My parents wanted to see a little bit of history while they visited so we went to Dealey Plaza where President Kennedy was shot. David slept through most of the audio tour, but after a shorter than usual nap he was ready to run... up and down the Grassy Knoll! He is safely latched on to Dee Dee because at the bottom of the hill is a small amount of sidewalk and then a very busy street!
Early Monday, Dee Dee and Daddy T had to head back to South Carolina. We enjoyed the weekend so much. Thanks for coming to visit!
We miss everyone and can't wait to come to S.C. soon!
