Happy Late Birthday!

Aunt "B", so sorry this is late... we are just glad we got to celebrate together this past weekend! The little man says hi and thanks again for his swing, he loves it! You're a great sister and aunt to all your nephews... we love you so much! See you Monday!

Happy Birthday PaPa! We love you and will see you next week!

Baby Dedication

David was dedicated at our church Sunday. We had over 40 babies dedicated in our two services, which is a great testimony to what God had done in just over a year and a half at Keystone Church. Here we are with our pastor (and great friend) Brandon. We are thankful for such a wonderful church!

It was a special day for us as a family!

My mom (Dee Dee), dad (Daddy T), and sister (Aunt B) came to enjoy the weekend and watch David's dedication.

On Saturday night we went to a Texas Rangers game. Paige (my sister's friend), Dee Dee, Daddy T, and Brittany all took turns holding David during the game. David was great and especially loved looking at all the people in the crowd.

We had a great time at the game.

David and mommy at his first baseball game!

This is David before the game. He is such a big boy now! When we go out to eat he is our entertainment because he will eat anything... his new favorite is drinking sweet tea from a straw!

One day...

... David will be so mad at me for posting these pictures, but I had to document what it is like during bath time with David at 9 months. He is fearless! He is suppose to sit in the "toddler" part of the tub but recently he has tried climbing out and thinks it is oh so fun! So, not only do I need to wear a rain coat for the splashing but now I feel I need to add special gloves to keep him from slipping as I repeatedly say "sit down" and plop him in the water. It is really fun to see him venture out and explore, but we are trying to put a stop to it at the same time. And you would think after all those years I spent taking care of kids I would remember what step is next, but for some reason I am at a loss. My question to all the experienced moms out there is "what should I do?" Do we go straight to the "big tub" or have you found a transition that works? We would appreciate any advice... it seems they invent something new everyday and I don't want to spend money on something that doesn't really work. In the meantime, here are more entertaining pics...

"Am I doing something wrong mom?"

How can I stay frustrated with this sweet face??? He is quite the charmer!

Yes, this is David standing completely up, legs totally straight. Fittingly enough, he has a monkey puppet hanging out of his mouth!

He sits down long enough to chew his rubber duck for a minute and then he is back to work!

9 months today...

I can't believe it, but our baby boy is 9 months old today! The time is flying by and David is learning more and more everyday. He can stand alone if you get him up and let go. He has lasted about 10 seconds without falling. He can walk around his learning table and LOVES to play the instruments. He is so fast with his army crawl, but still refuses to get on all fours. He eats like a champ now, well as long as you don't give him straight veggies... it has to be mixed with something sweet. With all of this independence we are seeing more "attitude". But he is mostly a really sweet little boy. He loves to go, go, go! And he also really loves to flirt with strangers. We are so thankful that God has blessed us with David. We love you baby boy!!!

Graduation Day!

Trey graduated from seminary yesterday, YEAH! The 3 years have gone by fast and we are so proud of Trey for sticking it out while working full time and taking a lot of hours to finish quickly. It is not easy to do while you are starting a family and a church. God has given Trey a true calling to serve Him and I am thankful that David and I will be a part of all the great things God has planned for the future. Here are a few pictures from the exciting day...

Trey's family came to Texas to watch him walk. His sister (Courtney), his dad ("Poppa Dock"), and his mom ("Mimi") have been lots of fun. David has enjoyed spending time with them also!

Here is a picture of Trey accepting his degree.

David was an angel during the ceremony (which lasted 2 hours). At first he played with everyone. Then, as the ceremony began, he quietly fell asleep in my arms. He only woke up at the end when everyone began clapping wildly. We are thankful he is so laid back and sweet!

After the ceremony we found Trey. David was VERY confused by the hat on Trey's head. He stared and stared at it with a puzzling look.

"Seriously, dad. What is on your head?!?"
